conquered the summit

behance is an online digital portfolio. I have added some my design work to it.

So last night, I didn’t know if I was going to be able to complete all the school work due by Sunday at 2am. First let me say this. There have been too many times that the 2am time thing has screwed me up. Because 2am on Sunday is really just 2 hours after Saturday ends. There have been a few times that this has accidentally caused me to turn in assignments late.

Anyway, lately I have been struggling with everything else going on to maintain perspective and focus to complete the assignments. But with a bunch of pixie dust, sushi and prayer… somehow I got everything turned in on time. And not just on time but with plenty of time to spare…. if one considers 135 minutes plenty of time. Regardless, this has been a huge relief.

This semester I am taking two design classes. The first is an advanced graphic design class. The second is on typography. I really enjoy both of them and even though we are only three weeks into the semester, I have learned a lot.

The two biggest assignments I have been working on have been posted on my behance page. The first one is a typography art design that turns font glyphs into a visual design. The second one is seven creative design strategies. Please take a look, post comments and let me know what you think. As the semester continues, I will post more assignment to it.

  • I really like both illustrations. The 2nd one makes me think of a man dancing, or even a windmill. I like a balance on the first one between positive and negative space. Very pleasing to look at.

    • Elizabeth – Thanks for your thoughts about my illustrations. It took me a little investigation to figure out who you were based on your email address. But eventually it pointed me to your twitter profile. Hope you are doing well!
