Today is a day of revolutions. Just a couple of days ago, they opened up the vaccine for 12-15 year olds. My daughters have been anxious to get it. Partially to stop thinking about the virus, and partially to ensure that, when I become imunocomprimised, things will be safe in our home.
So last night Joanna looked to see where the girls could get the vaccine, fortunately, it was really easy to get an appointment at the Walgreens near us. With a little luck, thew were able to get them today.
I asked Ava how it went, she said she barely felt a thing. Julie on the other hand…. well the picture tells the whole story. She said she felt every millimeter of the needle impale her tender pre-teen skin. But moments later, she was fine.
Now to top it off, today the CDC announced that anyone vaccinated doesn’t need to wear a mask. What a revolution that has come in the past 48 hours.
Look everyone is entitled to their own option about the vaccine. This post is not meant to enflame a political or philosophical debate. All I am saying is this is a great day in our home.
